Respectful Whale Safari on Tahiti’s Wild Coast (6 Swimmers Max)

During this 4-hour excursion in the open ocean, we search for humpback whales in a little-frequented area between Paea and Papara, allowing us to approach them with the utmost respect. If all the conditions are met, our guides may allow you to swim with the whales. We have a hydrophone on board so you can listen to the males singing. Swim with the whales? Yes, it is possible, under certain conditions and at the guide’s discretion. In-water encounters are neither mandatory nor systematic. They require an analysis of the whales’ behavior, good physical fitness, and favorable sea conditions. PASSIVE OBSERVATION is our priority: a gentle and discreet “step-by-step” approach, allowing the animal to choose whether or not to come and meet us! The “6 swimmers max” boat can also accommodate observers, with a maximum of 12 passengers in total. For those on a tighter budget, we also offer “12 swimmers max” boats with rotating groups.
