Experience the world’s most iconic amphitheater before the crowds arrive. We will descend the entrance ramp towards the amphitheater to the Red Rocks Visitor Center where we will explore the interactive Hall of Fame museum which chronicles the legendary music history of the venue along with fascinating displays of the park’s unique geology and local history. From the visitors center we will leisurely walk down through the amphitheater’s 70 rows and 194 steps while discussing the history of this natural wonder and the tectonic forces that shaped it. We will then continue down the amphitheater's south ramp to the historic Red Rocks trading post for the perfect panoramic photos of the towering rock formations. If time permits we'll continue our morning with a gentle hike around the Trading Post trail, perfectly timed for the Trading Post’s 9am opening.
We will meet at the upper north parking lot of the amphitheater next to the flags at the top of the walkway to the Visitors Center.
