Explore the Sierra Gorda of the state of Querétaro through the Santa María River. You will learn to kayak a river with class 1 rapids. You will be able to appreciate the landscapes of the Sierra Gorda navigating the river.
After meeting at the meeting point we will go to the river, we will start with an introductory talk the activity. We will give you a brief lesson on how to handle kayaking to enjoy the river safely and fun (the activity is done in a section of the river with rapids category 1, suitable for inexperienced people). After class, we'll put on our gear and practice. Now that we are ready we will begin the descent; we will paddle through quiet pools where we will have the opportunity to observe the landscape, flora and fauna of the river; between each pool is the most exciting thing of the descent: Los Rápidos; there we will paddle practicing what we have learned, enjoying the waves, the speed of the water and the adrenaline. Halfway through the tour we will stop for a while to swim and relax in a pool surrounded by abundant nature. The descent ends where the Ayutla River meets the Santa Maria River.
The meeting point is km 29 of federal highway 69. On the roadside in the community of El Coyote.
