Ferris’ original 1893 technology. Before we meet, we suggest a relaxed lunch at Rochusmarkt - an Agora-like square beloved by locals. Along the way you’ll hear stories of Richard the Lionheart’s capture, the crafts and punishments once practiced here, and the creative minds who lived or worked in this quarter: Wittgenstein, Zinnemann, West, Fuchs and more. After a morning “in the city,” the Prater’s vast alluvial parkland offers a refreshing contrast, ending near the iconic Ferris Wheel for views or fun on your own.
