onic ginjinha — a cherry liqueur served at the oldest ginjinha bar in Lisbon, open since 1840. After that, we visit a traditional tavern, one of the last in the city center, to try pastel de bacalhau paired with a glass of Vinho Verde. A stop for a bifana follows — the spicy marinated pork sandwich locals call one of the best in Lisbon. At a nearby viewpoint, we flame chouriço à bombeiro in a clay dish and share it with regional wine. To finish, the city’s sweetest classic — the pastel de nata.
