You will be in nature for 7 days, you will enjoy the calm and the beautiful landscapes, you will discover a varied fauna and flora. In the morning you wake up quietly, to watch the sunrise, you have breakfast with a hot cake cooked on the embers then the camel drivers load the dromedaries. You start a morning walk, around 10am you make a 20 min stop. To eat a small cake, then you continue at the pace of the dromedary. Around noon, the caravan settles, the camel drivers look for wood and start to prepare a good lunch for you. An hour's break after lunch, then you resume walking, once tired you have your dromedary chosen by you. You travel between 12 and 15 km each day. An hour before sunset, the Camp is set up, the animals are unloaded, hobbled and released into the frame. A large fire is lit and a hearty dinner will be made. Then singing, music and dancing around the fire.

Start your day with a morning walk, on the dunes you will go along the fence of
the Djebil National Park, sometimes you can see gazelles at the bottom of the mountain. You will admire all the tracks that you will see on the dunes, small rangers, hares, gazelles..

On the road, you will pass next to the mountain of TENESOUAN, a rocky massif sur
rounded by large dunes towards the end of the day you will see in the middle of a desert of red ochre sand a small green dot on the horizon, you have arrived at Lake Houidat

As in the previous days, you start your day with a morning walk
Once tired, you mount a dromedary. At 11am, you have a small biscuit and rest in the shade of a shrub. Then the caravan continues on its way.

In the afternoon, the time reserved for hiking is 2 hours
An hour before sunset, the camp is set up. It is the big feast, singing and dancing, everyone is happy with the beautiful day spent.

Some leave directly to the airport, while others will possibly spend a night in a hotel (a caravan seraglio) in Houmt Souk.

Pickup details

The 4x4 will pick you up at your home or at the airport. Then a transfer will be organized to meet the camels and dromedaries in the middle of Erg Oriental to begin your camel trek.
