to the highest peaks, the roof of the Mediterranean: Serra Dolcedorme (2267 m), Monte Pollino (2248 m), Serra del Prete (2181 m), Serra Ciavole (2130 m), Serra Crispo (2054 m). Each excursion to the peaks of the Park has a unique narrative that winds through paths of transhumance, karst sinkholes, traces of large mammals and the flight of majestic sailors. From Colle dell'Impiso each route follows the classic routes without particular difficulty (but which still require good physical preparation: over 14 km in length and about 600 - 700 m in altitude). The summit landscape summarizes the whole territory: from the Ionian coast to the Tyrrhenian coast, from Sila in the south to the Lucanian hinterland in the north. 360° of breathtaking vision! Among the limestone landscapes and karst formations of the Pollino Geopark, curious and fascinating plant works shaped by the weather stand out: the "pine loricati" (tree symbol of the Park, unique Italian). True centuries-old sculptures twisted and shaped by wind and snow that resist high altitudes in memory of places and time.
