Your experience begins at The Kitchen, where you'll meet your cooking instructor before walking together to the Municipal Market of Lagos. Explore the local fish market, discover fresh fish and seafood, and meet Mr. Lopes, our friendly fishmonger, who prepares the fish for your cooking class. Back at The Kitchen, put on your apron and learn how to prepare traditional Algarve Seafood Cataplana. Your instructor will guide you through preparing the ingredients, using the traditional Cataplana pan and discovering the history behind this iconic Portuguese dish. While your Cataplana is cooking, you'll prepare delicious Portuguese garlic prawns. Finally, gather around our shared table to enjoy the meal you've prepared, accompanied by Algarve wine. Finish with a traditional Algarve Orange Roulade and Amarguinha, our local almond liqueur. This 3.5-hour, small-group experience welcomes all cooking levels.
