With the help of a true local, you will discover the tastes and traditions of Polish cuisine. You'll learn the whole process of pierogi making and visit the local farmer's market where you'll pick the freshest ingredients and snacks for this experience. You'll cook in a local kitchen and taste some regional alcohol to pair it with Polish food. You'll leave with a full belly and with a greater understanding of Polish traditions and culture.
I will be pleased to introduce you to the most famous and delicious Polish dish. First, we'll walk through the oldest marketplace in town. It is a place to be, not only because of the great amount of fresh, local products but also because of its vibrant and unique atmosphere with some great hidden gems! After we buy what we need (and also what we can't help but try) we'll have a short walk to my apartment. There you'll be treated to some local snacks and drinks and we’ll start cooking. You will know the whole process of preparing pierogi, from dough making, preparing the filling and creating special shapes of the dough, and finally eating! We will prepare pierogi with the most traditional filling - fresh cottage cheese, potatoes, and caramelized onions. During the experience, I will share my knowledge of Kraków, Poland, and our culinary traditions. I'll give you my recommendations of where to go and what to try while visiting Kraków to feel like a true local. The main goal of the experience? Food hedonism! Notice! On Sundays, the experience takes place without a visit to the food market.
Meeting point: Go to the middle of the Jan Matejko square in front of the big Grunwald monument End point: we will end in my private apartment around 15 min walk from the meeting point
