Your tour continues across the rugged Isle of Portland. Here, we pause at the striking Olympic Rings Stone Sculpture viewpoint, offering sweeping coastal views, before passing the imposing Verne Citadel, a historic fortress steeped in military heritage. We then continue to Portland Bill at the island’s southern tip. Here, you’ll discover the unique Pulpit Rock, a man-made rock formation from the 1870s, shaped like an open Bible leaning against a pillar. Set dramatically beside the sea, it sits just moments from the iconic Portland Bill Lighthouse—the perfect spot to take in the views before we begin your return journey.

Built between 1539 and 1541 by King Henry VIII, Portland Castle on the Dorset coast was designed as an artillery fort to protect the Portland Roads anchorage from French and Spanish invasion. This is also where you will catch shuttle bus back to cruise ship.
