This experience is more than a typical animal visit. Guests explore one of Thailand’s major wildlife rescue projects, including the Wildlife Rescue Centre, Wildlife Hospital, Elephant Refuge, Ape Rescue Centre, and Big Cat Rescue Centre. The elephant experience follows a protected-contact model, where guests remain in a protected platform area and the elephants are free to approach or move away. The visit focuses on rescue stories, conservation education, and animal welfare, with no elephant riding, no shows, and no forced interaction.
The guided tour begins around 10:00 AM. Explore the Wildlife Rescue Centre on foot and by open safari bus with a WFFT guide. See some of the 700+ rescued animals, including elephants, apes, bears, and other wildlife, while learning their rescue stories and how WFFT supports their care. Enjoy a traditional Thai buffet lunch with vegan, vegetarian, and meat options overlooking a large elephant enclosure and nearby gibbon islands. After lunch, visit the Tiger Rescue Centre, Bear Sanctuary, and Elephant Refuge. The elephant experience follows a protected-contact model, with guests observing from a protected area while learning about the elephants’ stories, personalities, and natural behavior. There is no elephant riding, bathing, animal show, trick performance, or forced interaction. The tour ends around 3:30 PM.
