This impressive Corinthian-style temple was dedicated in A.D. 118 and reconstructed in the 4th century. You will see the Great Theater, dating back to the Hellenistic period. It was at this monumental site that St. Paul preached. As its acoustics remain excellent, this theater is still in use today. The Marble Road which runs between the Theater and the Celsus Library is part of a sacred walkway.
