Half Day Tibetan Cultural Tour
Departure: 9 am Return: 02:00 pm Join the Tibetan Cultural Tour in Pokhara with Mr. Thupten Gyatso, a knowledgeable guide. Gain insight into Tibetan culture, religion, and refugee life in Nepal. His passion for sharing Tibetan heritage ensures an enriching exploration. * Visit one Tibetan Refugee settlement. * You will walk around the village and see how people live their daily lives. * You will visit a Buddhist monastery and learn the meanings of different Buddhist signs and symbols that are so important in their daily life such as prayer wheels, prayer flags, stupas, etc. * Learn about Tibetan Schools and their educational system. * Visit a carpet workshop to see how Tibetan carpets are made by hand. Our tour guide Mr. Thupten, will take you through the process, explaining each step in detail. * Later visit the carpet showroom to explore a variety of Tibetan carpets with unique designs and colors. * Discover the history of Tibetan refugees at a photo gallery. * Meet a Tibetan doctor and gain insights into Tibetan medicine and have first hand experience of pulse reading. * Enjoy an authentic Tibetan lunch at a local Tibetan restaurant.
