Getting there / important information

The experience starts in Getxo, not central Bilbao. Getxo is connected to Bilbao by direct metro, with the meeting point close to Algorta metro station.

This means we spend the experience exploring the coast rather than cycling out of Bilbao.

No advanced cycling experience is required; guests simply need to feel comfortable riding a bike.

Just outside Bilbao, the estuary reaches the sea and the landscape changes completely
This is Getxo — a place shaped by maritime history, grand seaside architecture, beaches, cliffs and neighbourhoods that have grown around the water. And we think the best way to discover it is by bike. Starting in Getxo, we'll ride between some of the places that tell its story: the UNESCO-listed Bizkaia Bridge, the coastline, the Old Port and the cliffs overlooking the Bay of Biscay. But this isn't a race or a sightseeing checklist. We'll stop along the way, talk about what we're seeing and connect the landscape with the people, history and everyday life of the area. We'll also stop for a pintxo and a drink — because discovering Getxo should include tasting it too.
