This tour consists of guided visits to a Cave and a Maya Temple. All in one full day of adventure. We visit Actunich Tunich Muknal Cave followed by the Maya Temple of Xunantunich.

An hour drive from San Ignacio, will take you into the Tapir Mountain Reserve
Here we will park our vehicles, gear up and hike for 30 minutes to the entrance of the cave.

Here you will find yourself immersed in pristine jungle surroundings, home of ho
wler monkeys, spider monkeys, birds and iguanas. While exploring along with your guide, you will learn about the history of this site and the Maya civilization that once inhabited it. We will break for lunch at a restaurant in the village before heading to the Cave Tubing site.

It's located approximately 10 minutes west of San Ignacio Town. Xunantunich Maya Temple is located in this village. We will driver to the village where will get on the hand cranked ferry and cross the Mopan River to gain access to the Maya site.
