Getting started
Your driver guide collects you from your Nairobi hotel early in the morning, since the drive covers around 200km each way to reach Ol Pejeta. Exact pickup time is confirmed the night before based on your hotel location.
What to expect at Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Ol Pejeta Conservancy lies between the Aberdares and Mount Kenya, and is East Africa's largest black rhino sanctuary.
Features
• Track Najin and Fatu, the world's last two northern white rhinos, in their protected, monitored enclosure.
• Join morning and afternoon game drives across the conservancy, with chances to see lions, elephants, and buffalo.
• Visit Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya licensed to host rescued, non-native chimpanzees.
• Stop for lunch at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, inside the conservancy, included in your day.
• Bring a zoom lens or binoculars, since you'll view rhinos and other wildlife from your vehicle across a wide protected area.
Your driver guide returns you to Nairobi in the evening, completing a full day that covers roughly 400km of driving in total.
