Stop for breakfast (beverage excluded) en route. Upon reaching Shillong start your tour with a visit to the picturesque Umiam Lake. The lake is a great place for kayaking and boating.
The Falls are one of the natural wonders of North-East India.
It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire town, the Himalayas, its waterfalls as well as the plains of Bangladesh. Stop at a local restaurant for lunch (beverage excluded).
The lake is surrounded by lush green gardens and has several exotic trees. Walk over the beautiful white wooden bridge and explore the other side of the lake as well.
It is a large seven-story building that is a repository of information on the seven states of North-Eastern India. It has 17 galleries displaying cultural artefacts and paintings. The museum also has a wide collection of regional attires, accoutrements, handicrafts, ornaments, photographs and weapons. It is situated within the premises of the Sacred Heart Church and is managed by the Salesian Order of the Catholic Church. At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to Guwahati and dropped off at your hotel.
