East Milos off-road safari experience

Your off-road adventure kicks off at the lively port of Adamas on Milos Island, steering south towards the dormant Kalamos Volcano Crater. After a short journey on an unpaved road near Milos Airport, you'll have the chance to observe the extraordinary fumaroles atop Agia Kyriaki hill, where volcanic sulphur gases vent into the atmosphere. Following this intriguing exploration, your route carries on to the abandoned Sulphur Mines in Paliorema, a once-bustling sulphur extraction site that shut down in 1958 due to competition from oil-refining by-products.The adventure continues to the awe-inspiring Aggeria Mine, one of Europe's most extensive and deepest bentonite mines, taking a scenic route past the charming Monastery of Agioi Anargyroi with its quintessential Cycladic architecture. Your final stop is Kastanas, a hidden gem of a beach on the northeast coast. Renowned for its multicoloured pebbles, crystal-clear emerald waters and striking red, orange and purple rock formations, Kastanas provides a peaceful retreat away from villages and roads.
