Getting started
Begin your visit by locating the entrance next to the old double gates of Baku’s walled city, just down the stairs beside the market. Present your entry ticket at the turnstile to access the underground bath. If your ticket is not part of a multi-location pass, a 4 Manat entrance fee applies at the door. Once inside, you are free to move through the site at your own pace.

Yeraltı hamam (Underground Bath)
This subterranean bathhouse is a rare example of Baku’s historic bathing culture, tucked beneath the bustling streets of the Old City.
• Explore a series of stone chambers and corridors that once served as a communal bath, with remnants of the original heating system still visible.
• Discover informative signs throughout the space that explain how the underground bath operated, including how fire was used to heat the central area and maintain a warm environment for bathers.
• Your entry ticket grants you access to all public areas of the bath, allowing you to observe the architectural details and learn about the daily rituals that took place here centuries ago.
Wrapping up
After your visit, you can easily return to the heart of Baku’s Old City or continue exploring nearby landmarks such as the Maiden Tower, Palace of the Shirvanshahs, and Fountain Square, all within walking distance.
