Drive your own sled dog team with an Iditarod team of mushers and Alaskan huskies on real snow in the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over mountains and glaciers; often spotting moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a high snow-covered glacier and enjoy a whole hour with sled dogs and their mushers that live here all summer. After a brief safety chat with the mushers, embark on a 30 minute sled ride where you'll take turns standing on the runners of the sled and sitting to enjoy the ride. After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled and take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour, enjoy views of the Knik Glacier from the helicopter while you soar back to the lodge over sparkling blue melt pools and crevasses.

What you'll do

Take an authentic dogsled ride on real snow with Alaskan huskies and mushers in
the middle of summer surrounded by amazing scenery. Start this adventure with a helicopter ride over glaciers and icebergs. We often see moose, black bears, Dall sheep and goats. Land on a huge snow field high on a glacier and enjoy a whole hour with sled dogs who have competed in the Iditarod and their mushers that live here all summer. Take the dog team for an exhilarating ride through real snow. With only 4 participants per sled, everyone gets a turn to sit and enjoy the ride or stand on the runners and mush! After your dogsled tour meet the canine athletes that pulled your sled, listen to stories about running sled dog races of over a 1,000 miles long, and of course take pictures with your favorite dogs. After the tour the helicopter takes you back to the lodge and you’ll fly over the lower glaciers where you can see the blue melt pools and the crevasses.
