See Malawi's two biggest highlights in just three days, with your own vehicle and a Malawian driver-guide who grew up here. Start at Cape Maclear, inside the UNESCO-listed Lake Malawi National Park: take a boat to Thumbi West Island, watch African fish eagles dive for fish, and snorkel among hundreds of colourful cichlids found nowhere else on earth. Then head south to Liwonde National Park for game drives and a boat safari on the Shire River, where elephant herds wade through the reeds and hippos crowd the shallows. The tour is fully private, so the pace is yours. Lodges, all meals, park fees and airport or hotel transfers in Lilongwe or Blantyre are included.
