This reserve is well known for good game viewing and sustains all of the Big Five including the largest population of lions in Kenya. The enormous landscape of the Mara and its concentration of many varieties of game make it a fitting climax to your safari. One of the Mara's main attractions each year is the astonishing spectacle of the annual migration of up to two million wildebeests
and drive to the Masai Mara National Reserve via the Great Rift Valley and Narok. You will arrive at the camp in time for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have a game drive in this spectacular reserve which is known for good game viewing and sustains all of the Big Five including the largest population of lions in Kenya. The enormous landscape of the Mara and its concentration of many varieties of game make it a fitting climax to your safari. After the evening game drive, you will drive back to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
The day will be spent in the reserve exploring the plains in search of the great predators and perhaps even their cubs. On the plains, you will come across enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetahs and leopards hiding amidst acacia boughs. You will transverse the reserve on unlimited game-viewing drives in search of the Big Five and other game animals. In the months of July, August, and September, the reserve is usually filled with migrating wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti. There's a high chance of experiencing the crossing during this period. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Mara Jambo Lodge
