2 Hours Nature Dyeing Fabric with Local Plants in Cyprus

I will spend some time introducing you to the history and craft of natural dyes, its relationship to local flora, and Cyprus folk textile traditions. We will extract color from one or two local or seasonal plants. I will also introduce a simple tie dye technique, related to a lost mysterious tradition from a Cyprus village. You will get to create a colorful silk handkerchief, which you will take with you as a souvenir.
