The Laitlum Canyon, meaning “End of the Hills” in Khasi, is one of Meghalaya’s most breathtaking natural viewpoints. Located about 25 km from Shillong, it offers panoramic views of deep gorges, mist-covered valleys, and rolling green hills, making it a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.

Jowai is the administrative center of the West Jaintia Hills district, perched atop a plateau carved by the Myntdu River, approximately 64 km from Shillong. Its elevation of around 1,380 m (4,530 ft) gives it cool summers and chilly winters.

Krang Suri Falls is one of Meghalaya’s most stunning and picture-perfect waterfalls, located near Amlarem, about 30 km from Jowai in the Jaintia Hills. Famous for its turquoise-blue plunge pool and scenic surroundings, it is often called a hidden paradise and has become a favorite for travelers, photographers, and filmmakers.
