The official name is Phra Phutta Ming Mongkol Akenakiri, shortened to Ming Mongkol Buddha. Sitting atop Nakkerd Hill near Chalong, construction began in 2004

Totally unknown before 2016, it's located high up in the rainforest above Ao Sane, and it offers a stunning view to the south of Phuket,
Also known as Ao Phang Nga National Park, it's characterized by limestone cliffs and rock formations, as well as mangrove forests and small islands.
One can see and explore picturesque stalactites, stalagmites, pillars and helictites here.
Every evening, large tour buses, scooters and private cars sweep through Rawai Beach and up the island's southernmost hill to watch the sunset.
It is adjacent to Kata Beach to the south. The beach is bordered to the north by the Mon Tri's Villa Royale Resort, and most of the beachfront is occupied by the resort of Kata Thani.
The beach is a popular destination for tourists. Generally quieter than neighbouring Patong, it is popular with families and couples. It is also especially popular with Scandinavian tourists, with many businesses catering especially to them. Karon Beach was heavily damaged by the tsunamis following the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake, especially in its southern regions, but has since largely recovered and by 2008 showed little evidence of tsunami damage.

The more it’s forbidden, the more people go there, and this once deserted beach had become an Instagram mad playground. And why not? Seeing these enormous flying machines approaching from far and getting closer to you in a roar is jaw-dropping.
