Is een gids echt nodig voor trekken hier?

Ja. Paden kunnen ongemarkeerd zijn, en een goede gids opent deuren naar verblijven in afgelegen dorpen en legt uit wat je eigenlijk ziet - dat is de helft van de ervaring. Solo trekken zonder lokale kennis is riskant en mist het doel.

Hoe kom ik vanuit Hanoi in Sapa?

De meeste tours bevatten vervoer vanuit Hanoi als onderdeel van het pakket (controleer wat inbegrepen is). De rit is ongeveer 5-6 uur. Als je solo gaat, kun je een auto huren of een nachtbus nemen, maar het boeken van een tour regelt de logistiek meestal netjes.

Kunnen gezinnen met kinderen deze tours doen?

Kortere treks en canyoning zijn mogelijk met oudere kinderen (8+), maar de standaard 7-8 daagse treks zijn echt inspannend. Controleer de tourbeschrijving op aanbevelingen voor leeftijd en fitnessvereisten voordat je boekt.
