Two of Stockholm's most beloved experiences. This combo takes you from the shimmering waters of the Stockholm Archipelago to the awe-inspiring halls of the Vasa Museum and Vrak Museum of Wrecks.

Getting started

Your tickets are delivered directly to your smartphone. Head to the departure point in front of the Royal Palace on Gamla Stan at least 10 minutes before your chosen sailing time to begin the cruise. Once back on dry land, the Vasa Museum is reachable in around 19 minutes on foot or 14 minutes by public transit, and your museum tickets stay valid for 72 hours so you can visit the same day or return whenever it suits you.

What to expect

Stockholm Archipelago Cruise (2 hours)

• Departing from Gamla Stan, the boat sails out through the archipelago toward the scenic islands of Fjäderholmarna and Tegelön

• An English speaking guide narrates the journey throughout, sharing stories about the sights, the Swedish royal family, and local traditions

• An onboard bar serves drinks and snacks, so there is plenty of reason to settle in and soak up the scenery

Vasa Museum

• The centerpiece is the Vasa herself, a 64 gun warship that sank on her maiden voyage in 1628 and was salvaged 333 years later. She is the only nearly fully intact 17th century ship in the world

• Six viewing levels let you take in the ship from every angle, from the keel to the towering aftercastle, with surrounding exhibits covering her construction, sinking, and recovery

• A free guided tour in English runs roughly every 30 minutes, or download the audio guide in advance to explore at your own pace

Vrak Museum of Wrecks

• A short walk from Vasa, Vrak takes you beneath the surface of the Baltic Sea through VR dives, holograms, and interactive games that bring ongoing maritime archaeological discoveries to life

• The current exhibition Vikings Before Vikings presents recent findings from a Viking burial ground in Estonia, with hands on elements including the chance to dress up as a Viking

• Free guided tours run daily at noon and 15:00 in English, making it easy to get the most out of the visit
