Start with a brief introduction on the history of shells and their importance in Mexican bakery. Then, go into practice making the base dough, learning key techniques such as kneading, fermentation and resting. Continue with the preparation of the sweet crust (vanilla and chocolate), which gives the shells their characteristic design. Then we will form the pieces, apply the topping and learn to shape them into their traditional shape. Finally, bake the shells and enjoy the result, with tips to achieve the perfect texture: soft inside and slightly crunchy outside. At the end of the class, you will take your own freshly made shells and the knowledge to replicate them at home.
