Wine Tasting in Dekkersvlei

Arrival & Welcome Guests are greeted at the top of the walkway near the tasting room, under the large oak tree. Welcome drink: Chilled White Pinotage, served by a staff member during the approach. Host introduces the estate and the day’s experience, highlighting the White Pinotage as the first wine of the tasting.

Cellar Visit & White Pinotage Guests enter the stainless-steel cellar and receive a single red grape to interactively explore the winemaking process. Explanation of how White Pinotage is made from red-skinned grapes by removing the skins early – creating a blanc de noir style. Educational highlight: structure of a grape and the innovative approach to making white wine from red varietals.
