Our hike includes a deserted famine village and the Móin Rua heathland famous for it's wild orchids. You will also see the spectacular Cnoc na nGabhar mountain, explore secret trails along the Wild Atlantic Way, visit one of the famous EIRE signs and an amazing Iron Age promontory fort with a secret know only to locals. When we return, we'll end our time together on Tráigh Liceach a beach that is also a battlefield where we share a couple of fascinating stories about the Battle of Tráigh Liceach and WWI submarine activity around this coastline.
