The cliff at Makapuu Point Lookout frames the eastern tip of Oahu and is the site of a historically significant lighthouse.
Situated on Oahu's south shore is a fascinating lava rock development that looks out over the ocean. In old Hawaii, this rock was referred to Kapaliokamoa, which means "the cliff of the chicken."
Near Makapuu Heiau is also a Hawaiian Monk Seal Habitat.
