Your day begins at 09:30, leaving the coast for the quiet roads of rural Crete. First stop: a small soap workshop, where olive oil and herbs are shaped by steady, practiced hands. Then, at a family olive mill, you follow the path from fruit to “liquid gold” and taste fresh extra virgin olive oil in its purest form.
Next comes Lyrarakis Winery, surrounded by vineyards that hold stories older than the island’s roads. A guided tour through the vines and cellar leads to a tasting of five wines, each carrying the character of its ancient grape varieties.
The experience closes in Peza Village with a traditional Cretan lunch at Peteinos Alaniaris—honest dishes, generous flavors, and the kind of hospitality that lingers. After lunch, your driver brings you back through the countryside, an unhurried finish to a grounded, genuine day.
