Private Historical Tour in Algarve

According to historical sources, the Chapel was surrounded by an old fortress (15th century), which dominated the entire coast between Faro and Lagos, and protected the populations and the coast but the fortress was destroyed during the 1755 earthquake.

Entrances not included. You will be introduced to the history and architecture of the city. Walk through the historic area and pass through the municipal market. Opportunity to taste local sweets. Wine tasting, optional at extra cost, will depend on what has been agreed with customers and varies from tour to tour. It may be after lunch or on the return in the afternoon. Lunch in a local restaurant. Not included.

Visit of the town of Monchique and stop by the traditional shops of the village. We will continue up the hill to Fóia. We will do a short stop at Miradouro da Fonte Santa where you can taste the water directly from the Spring. Continuing our journey, we will arrive in Fóia (the highest point in the whole Algarve ).
