All the "lakes" in Austin are just parts of the Colorado River dammed up. Town Lake (or Lady Bird Lake) is the part that cuts through the middle of the city. On a hot summer day, it's common to see canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards filling the lake.

This is probably the most well-known street in the city. The locals call this area "Dirty 6th." Lots of bars and lots of historic buildings.
