This tour transports you back in time, to a series of locations throughout Vienna, illustrating the rich Jewish history nature of the Austrian capital. Stopping off at Volkertmarkt in the Second District, the Karmeliterviertel quarter and elsewhere, you will be offered a fascinating insight into the life of an ordinary Jewish family in Vienna over the years, as well as visits to the city center, home to not one but two well-regarded international Jewish museums. The tour also includes a host of famous monuments in Vienna depicting the tragedies that befell the Jewish population under the Fascist and Nazi regimes. The former Viennese station from where thousands of Jews were deported to concentration camps will also be a major stop on this tour. Another stop will be Vienna’s Central Cemetery, with its grand Jewish section just inside the main gate. (No entries planned)
