Your journey begins with an early morning pickup from your accommodation and a scenic 64 km drive to the mountain village of Imlil (1,740 m), the gateway to the Atlas Mountains The trek follows a beautiful route through the Tamatert Valley, passing traditional Amazigh villages, terraced fields, and walnut groves. Climb steadily to the Tizi n'Tamatert Pass (2,280 m), where spectacular views open over the Imlil and Imnane Valleys. Continue through a peaceful pine forest and along a scenic ridge to the summit of Taouadja (2700m) offering panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and remote mountain villages After nearly 900 meters of ascent and a full day of hiking, enjoy a well-deserved descent back to Imlil. Evening, relax in a comfortable local guesthouse, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, scenery, preparing for the next stage of your adventure.
and begin the trek toward the Toubkal Refuge. The trail follows the Mizane Valley, passing the village of Aremd and the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch (2,310 m), an important pilgrimage site. Continue ascending through rugged mountain landscapes to reach the refuge at 3,207 m. After approximately 5 to 6 hours of walking, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the refuge beneath the highest peak in North Africa.
The climb takes around 3 hours and rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views across the Atlas Mountains and beyond. After time at the summit, descend back to the refuge for lunch before continuing down to Imlil. The descent takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, bringing your unforgettable Toubkal adventure to an end.
