You can observe the process of forest formation over approximately 200years, from the volcano to the sea, through different eras. The unique landscape, where the vegetation changes every few hundred meters, creates a distinctive scenery that is only found here. A knowledgeble guide will provide you with insights into Sakurajima's volcanic activity in just 30 minutes. After returning to the Visitor Center from the volcano tour, you can experience extracting original oil from camellia seeds. Camellias, which thrive in the volcanic environment, are one of the island's key crops. The process of grinding, steaming, and extracting oil from camellia seeds takes about one hour. From about 40 grams of seeds, you can extract approximately 10 milliliters of amber-colored oil, allowing you to truly appreciate its rarity. You'll be definitely impressed by the color, fragrance, and smooth texture of the extracted oil. Enjoy this organic experience that cannot be felt through simply purchasing a product.
