Half-Day Rafting Adventure on the Mendoza River

h historic vineyards to reach the town of Potrerillos. A local restaurant serves as base camp for the day, complete with bathroom and lockers and views of the river. Don the provided wetsuit, designed to keep you comfortable when you get soaked in the river, and equip yourself with a helmet, vest, and paddle. After a safety orientation and brief training from your guide, hop on an inflatable raft and set out to test your mettle on the Mendoza River. As you travel approximately 8 miles (13 km) downstream, navigate through mostly Class II rapids (although rising water levels can lead to Class III or IV rapids during the summer). No experience is necessary as your guide will provide instructions and advice throughout the trip. After your triumph over the choppy waters, change into dry clothes back at base camp and enjoy a leisurely afternoon in Potrerillos.
