Southern Sardinia's coastline is among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, and nowhere more so than Chia — a stretch of unspoiled shore where history, geology, and natural beauty come together. Your day begins crossing the Santa Gilla lagoon, home to wild pink flamingos. Your guide will introduce the ecology of the area as you travel through the hills and scrub of the Sulcis region toward the coast. Your first stop is Su Giudeu, one of Sardinia's most celebrated beaches, where granite formations frame powder-soft sand and some of the clearest water on the island. You'll have 1.5 hours to swim, walk the shore, or relax. A short drive takes you to a second beach with a different character. A gentle uphill walk reveals coastal views and a Spanish watchtower that once guarded this shoreline. The beach below is wilder, with coarser sand and a natural river meeting the sea. Another 1.5 hours to explore at your own pace. Beach locations may be adjusted daily based on sea conditions.
