6 Day Madagascar Discovering Rainforest in Lemurs and Baobabs

Your journey begins with a scenic drive heading east toward Andasibe. Along the way, you will stop at Peyrieras Reserve, a sanctuary known for: • Colorful chameleons, • Geckos and iguanas, • Butterflies, • Frogs, snakes, and other endemic reptiles.

A private sanctuary where rescued lemurs live in semi-wild conditions. Several species may approach visitors—wonderful for photos and close-up encounters. Crocodile Lake A small wildlife area where you can see crocodiles, birds, tortoises, and sometimes the elusive fossa.

In the evening, enjoy a nocturnal visit at VOIMMA Reserve, where you can spot: • Mouse lemurs, • Nocturnal chameleons, • Frogs, and various night-active species. Overnight in Andasibe.

In the morning before driving to Antsirabe, explore Andasibe National Park (Analamazaotra), famous for: • The Indri Indri, the largest living lemur, • Sifaka lemurs, • Common brown lemurs, • Rare birds, orchids, and lush rainforest flora. Stop for a lunch depending on the drive time.

Depart from Antsirabe through a beautiful scenic route toward Betafo to Morondava, known for its volcanic landscapes and cooler climate. After lunch, continue your drive through the highlands and rural villages until you reach Morondava. Overnight in Morondava.

Morning visit of Morondava’s local market, followed by free time to enjoy the beach. In the afternoon, head to the world-famous Avenue of the Baobabs, known for: • Its majestic millennium-old baobab trees, • A breathtaking sunset perfect for photography. Overnight in Morondava.
