Exclusive Excursions is happy be on The Great Salt Lake, which is the saltiest body of water in the Western Hemisphere. Come enjoy this experience by actually going out on the lake rather than just seeing it from the shore. We will do a short boat ride around the marina area, hear some stories, history and jokes about the lake, and even do a few demonstrations. And of course have time for a good picture or two. Since it’s only 45 minutes and the lake is so big and wide, we just stay within a mile of the marina and this tour is not a high speed boat ride because the captain likes to give commentary the whole time. Some people complain that we don’t go fast or farther out in the lake so this is why. Yes the great salt lake has bugs near the marina. They don’t bite but can swarm at times. We give you hats with nets to keep them out of your face so please take one so they don’t “bug” you. Give us a call if you want an update about the current bug situation since it always changes.

Common questions about booking Salt Lake City experiences through SimilarTours
Spring through fall sees the heaviest bookings - late May through September is peak season with reliable weather and all roads open. Winter tours (December-February) do run and offer their own appeal if you're prepared for snow, but availability tightens fast. Book 2-3 months ahead for summer dates if you want genuine choice, especially for small group tours.
The popular 5-7 day Utah and Yellowstone/Teton tours fill up quickly during summer. Aim for at least 6-8 weeks out for peak season, though last-minute slots sometimes open. Winter and shoulder season trips have more flexibility - a few weeks is often fine.
If you're hitting multiple parks in one trip, absolutely. Guides handle logistics, driving, and the route-planning that eats a solo traveler's time and budget. Plus they know where to stop and what matters at each place. Self-driving works fine for one or two parks, but the 5-9 day regional tours make genuine sense.
Most include transportation from Salt Lake City, a knowledgeable guide, and entry to the national parks. Accommodation and meals vary - check before you go, as some tours are accommodation-only and you source your own lodging, while others bundle everything. Guides usually aren't included on private full-day tours like the Bryce Canyon option.
Yes, there are solid 4-6 day options covering Yellowstone and Grand Teton, or combinations of Utah's parks. You'll miss depth but hit the major highlights. These are perfect if you're pairing the trip with time in Salt Lake City or the surrounding area.
Small group tours can accommodate families and most fitness levels - check the specific tour's pace and itinerary before booking. Some tours include light hiking, others are mostly scenic drives. National park entrances and many viewpoints are accessible; ask the outfitter about any steep walking sections for your specific dates.

Salt Lake City sits at the gateway to some of North America's most striking landscapes. From here, travelers book serious multi-day adventures - mostly into Yellowstone and Grand Teton, Utah's five signature national parks (Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef), and sometimes Arizona's Antelope Canyon. You'll find everything from 4-day quick loops to 9-day deep dives, mostly run as small group tours. Winter trips are popular too, which tells you the region works year-round.
