What to expect

El Viejo Almacén offers one of Buenos Aires' most traditional tango experiences, celebrating the music and dance in the neighborhood where much of tango's history unfolded. The venue

Located at the historic corner of Balcarce and Independencia in San Telmo, El Viejo Almacén has been a symbol of Buenos Aires' tango heritage since 1969. Housed inside a building dating back to the 18th century, the venue preserves the charm of old Buenos Aires with period décor, vintage photographs, and an intimate performance space that recreates the atmosphere of the city's earliest cafés where tango flourished. Its close proximity between the audience and the stage makes every note, dance step, and musical performance feel deeply personal.
