You will discover the landmarks of the city with our tour leader and learn about monuments like Casa de la Vall, Dali´s watch, San Esteve XII century church... and for sure, about its political situation and history! You will have also free time to explore one of its most magic streets, Meritxell´s avenue.

It is the former headquarters of the General Council of Andorra and was built in 1580 as the ancestral home and defense tower of the Busquets family. In 1702 it was acquired by the General Council. In June 2003 it was listed as an Asset of Cultural Interest in Andorra.

It forms part of the old royal road and the traditional road of the valleys of Andorra, today converted into an avenue and the country's main commercial axis. Along the avenue we find shops, several shopping centers and department stores such as Pyrénées, Escale and Hyper Andorra. Almost all the banks in the country have their headquarters in this commercial area. The avenue bears the name of the patron saint of Andorra, the Virgin of Meritxell, whose sanctuary is located in Meritxell (Canillo).
