Before leaving Shigatse, you will pay a visit to the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the living place of Panchen Lama after the 4th Panchen (1567 - 1662) took charge of the temple. It also enshrines the largest copper Buddha statue in the world with a height of 26.2 meters (86 feet).
Everest National Nature Reserve, passing by the Tsola Pass with an altitude of 4,600 meters (15,091 feet) and Gyatsola Pass with an altitude of 5,248 meters (17,217 feet), and then arrive at Everest Base Camp finally. What's more, if time and weather permit, you will have chance to enjoy the sunset of golden Everest Peak at the camp.
Then you will visit the Rongbu Monastery which is located at an altitude of 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) at the foot of the Mt. Everest and also the unique highest monastery with nuns and monks living together. Finally,will drive you back to Shigatse.
