Führung durch die Palmenti von Pietranico
Die Besichtigung des Palmenti di Pietranico ist ein Rundgang, der für die Besichtigung alter Panzer angelegt wurde. Über das gesamte Territorium verstreute riesige Felsbrocken wurden mit extremer Geschicklichkeit als Panzer verwendet, um direkt auf den Feldern Wein herzustellen. So brachten die Bauern nur den Most mit nach Hause und ließen die verarbeitenden Abfälle direkt auf dem Land zurück, wodurch der Transport von Material, das keinen Wein erzeugte, zu den landwirtschaftlichen Betrieben vermieden und die gleichen Felder gedüngt wurde. Die Mühlsteine sind eines der besten Zeugnisse, um das raffinierte Niveau lokaler Kunsthandwerker und die enorme Größe zu verstehen, die die Produktion von feinen Weinen in diesem Gebiet erreicht hatte. In der Gemeinde Pietranico gibt es die höchste Konzentration von Mühlsteinen, die in den Abruzzen im Gestein ausgegraben wurden und sich an dem von der Stadt dominierten Westhang befinden.
