The Maullín River is one of the great free rivers in the country and known as the Amazon of Chile, it still preserves much of its native vegetation. This is one of the greatest singularities of the river, since that its bed is invaded by a swampy forest. Climbing the Osorno volcano is a great challenge and the perfect highlight of a trip to Patagonia. It is the perfect viewpoint over the geography of southern Chile. From the summit, we will not only take a deep breath but also enjoy the panoramic views of the Lakes Region and its volcanoes: Puntiagudo, Tronador, Calbuco, Casablanca, Puyehue and, with good visibility, the Lanin and Llaima volcanoes in the distant Araucania region. This is a glacier climb, physically demanding but not requiring any previous experience, although it does require a very good physical and mental condition. You will be in small groups. Only one guide for every two clients. All the guides working with us are local and certified mountain guides.
