6. Vandretur til krateret i Lille Pico 2014 på vulkanen FOGO
Denne vandretur, i krateret Chã das Caldeiras, giver dig mulighed for at klatre til det lille krater, der blev dannet ved vulkanudbruddet i 2014. Det er det yngste krater på øen: det lille Pico. I dette månelandskab formår vegetation (endemiske planter og vinstokke) at vokse hist og her. Hvilket kontrastfyldt farverigt landskab! Et andet mere trist syn er observationen af ødelæggelserne forårsaget af lavastrømmene, der blev afvist af dette lille krater.
